A hollow structural section or channel stair landing beam is supported by a hanger member connecting back to a structural steel floor beam above. The hanger member and its top and bottom connections are provided by the stair supplier, aligning with the centerline of the beam. A steel beam web stiffener is included as specified in the general structural notes. A broken back hollow structural section or channel stair stringer frames into the landing beam. When the stair landing beam is eccentric from the floor beam above, a separate detail reference applies.
