A WT-shape drag member frames into the web of a structural steel column above a concrete foundation. The column base plate sits on a grout pad and is secured by vertical anchor rods extending down through the foundation to a bottom embed plate. A diagonal brace gusset plate connects above the drag member, utilizing bolted connections on both sides. All anchor rods and embed plates conform to Grade 50 steel specifications as scheduled.
