A steel beam supports the metal deck as specified on plan, with a three-eighths-inch continuous bent plate provided by the precast manufacturer. The lateral connection provides out-of-plane support only, leaving vertical and in-plane support unconstrained, featuring a three-and-a-half-inch minimum horizontal slotted hole spaced at two feet on center unless otherwise noted. A firestop material infills the gap between the deck and panel. The precast panel features a wood top plate referenced from the architectural drawings.
