A wide-flange column connects to a lower member using a bolted plate assembly with stiffener plates welded to the column web and flanges. One-half-inch stiffener plates are welded to both sides of the web and flanges with minimum welds sized per AISC specifications. The member sizes are sized per plan or schedule.
