Two wide flange steel beams are joined in a non-moment splice configuration using WT sections sized per plan. A one-quarter inch fillet weld connects the components, supplemented by three-sixteenth inch welds at the WT to beam connection. One-quarter inch stiffener plates are placed on each side at four-foot intervals, beginning six inches from each end of the WT section. All steel sizes and specifications are sized per plan.
