A structural steel column bears on a concrete foundation through a base plate within a concrete block-out below a slab on grade. A buckling-restrained brace frames into a gusset plate welded to the column and base assembly. Stiffener plates are welded with five-sixteenths inch fillet welds on the near side and far side of the gusset plate. Base plate and anchor bolt information is coordinated with the structural elevations.
