Channel diagonal braces consisting of C12x25 members frame into a wide flange beam web using bent plates measuring 3/8 inch by 9 inches. Each connection utilizes two 7/8 inch diameter high-strength bolts at a 5 inch vertical gauge typical on each side. A bent plate welded with a 1/4 inch fillet weld on three sides connects the assembly to the underside of the beam. The overall vertical drop from the underside of the beam ranges from 10 inches minimum to 2 feet 0 inches maximum.
