A skewed channel framing member connects to a supporting wide flange beam web via a one-half-inch thick typical shear tab plate. Three seven-eighth-inch diameter high-strength bolts secure the channel web to the plate with two-inch edge distance and four-inch vertical spacing. A one-quarter-inch fillet weld attaches the plate to the supporting beam web typical. The channel web fits flush against the connecting plate to transfer shear loads directly into the supporting column or beam.
