A floor joist bears on a wood stud wall spaced at sixteen inches on center, supported by a joist hanger specified by the manufacturer. The double top plate consists of six-by-six members secured with Simpson HST3 straps on each side at each splice. A continuous two-inch member is fastened with sixteen-penny nails at eight inches on center. Sheathing is installed per the floor framing plan and foundation plan shear wall schedule.
