A three-quarter-inch thick plate connects the steel beam web to the hollow structural section column. Three three-quarter-inch diameter ASTM A325X bolts secure the beam web to the plate with standard spacing dimensions. Fillet welds of one-quarter-inch size attach the plate to the column face.
