A skewed beam connection at the web utilizes a connection plate and bolts sized per schedule, complete joint penetration welds with a beveled back up bar for angles less than or equal to thirty degrees, and a single-sided complete penetration weld alternative where access is limited. An alternative option at concrete over metal deck features an angle brace connected to the deck with three shear studs per sixteen S one point two, and three-quarter inch diameter bolts. Fillet welds of one-quarter inch are specified on both sides of the angle brace.
