Cold-formed steel stud jamb assemblies are constructed using grouped studs joined by intermittent fillet welds. The details show three-stud, four-stud, and five-stud configurations designated as M3, M4, and M5 respectively. Each stud is connected with one-eighth-inch fillet welds spaced at twenty-four inches on center typically on each stud. Individual stud sizes match the adjacent wall stud size typically.
