An HSS3x3x5/16 hollow structural section connects to the top flange of an S15 shape with an end plate, allowing shims to be added as required to level the runway. Finger shims, when used, are field welded in place. A C8x11.5 channel acts as a lateral brace, connecting to the structural system with a three-eighths-inch by four-and-a-half-inch by six-inch shear tab containing short slots and two three-quarter-inch A325 bolts at each end. A W14x398 column and W24 roof beam frame the assembly above a five-metric-ton crane.
