A 3-ply cross-laminated timber panel bears on a glued-laminated timber beam with a two and a quarter inch minimum clearance. The assembly is secured using five-sixteenths inch diameter by seven and seven-eighths inch long structural composite timber assembly Ecofast screws spaced at six inches on center along the centerline of the glued-laminated beam. Where a lateral tie plate occurs, two rows of screws are installed at three and a half inches on center staggered in lieu of the single row. At five-ply panels, eleven and seven-eighths inch long Ecofast screws are substituted.
