This detail specifies the reinforcement and setting requirements for a floor drain within a concrete slab. Two number 4 reinforcing bars, each 3 feet long, are positioned 2 inches from the top of the slab. The drain assembly is set with a 1/4 inch slope and is installed without expansion joint material. The top of the drain is set 3/8 inch below the finish floor elevation, with a 1 inch clearance provided for the surrounding slab depression. The reinforcement layout maintains a 3 inch spacing and a 1 foot 6 inch radius around the drain center.
