A hollow structural section column of size HSS 6x4x3/8 rises from a concrete slab on grade up to the bottom of a cross-laminated timber level 2 floor at an elevation of 13 feet 4 and 5/8 inches. A smaller hollow structural section member of size HSS 6x4x1/4 extends horizontally at a height of 9 feet 6 inches to frame the canopy. A deferred curtain wall system is integrated adjacent to the structural steel and timber elements.
