An elevator guide rail support hollow structural section column attaches to a structural steel floor beam and a concrete-filled metal floor deck. The structural steel beam connects to the hollow structural section column via a pair of L6x4x5/16 angles secured with three-quarter-inch through-bolts in two-inch vertical slotted holes with double nuts. A half-inch by ten-inch by two-foot plate with four three-quarter-inch diameter by three-inch heavy stud anchors secures the top. A half-inch by one-foot bent plate with three five-eighth-inch diameter by thirty-inch deformed bar anchors at five inches on center fastens to the assembly, with cutouts provided as required and centered on the rail location.
