A concrete slab over metal floor deck frames directly against a structural steel column web. A steel beam connects to the column web with typical bolted shear connections. Steel braces are provided on both the near side and far side, welded with three-sixteenth inch fillet welds typically. The slab edge terminates at the exterior face of the assembly.
