A glulam brace connects to a glulam beam using a one-half inch kerf plate centered on the brace and secured with two one-half inch diameter through bolts at four inches on center. Side plates measuring one-quarter inch by five inches are attached to each side with twelve one-quarter inch by five-inch self-drilling screws spaced at three inches on center typically. A one-half inch bearing plate is located beneath the connection with a one-quarter inch overlap.
