A parapet post is supported by a structural steel beam carrying a metal deck, with a hollow structural section HSS3x3x1/4 spanning between posts top and bottom at each perpendicular beam. Exterior framing, cladding, and attachment are bidder-designed per architectural height requirements. Soffit framing ties into the assembly below. Fillet welds of three-sixteenths inch secure the hollow structural section framing. A moment connection per sheet S-502 ties the steel beam assembly together.
