Roof metal deck bears on hollow structural section beams and steel channels sized per the framing plan and attached with self-drilling self-tapping screws. The steel channel is welded to one-inch thick plates spaced at four feet on center and aligned with each hollow structural section beam using three-sixteenths inch fillet welds. A hollow structural section post connects below with a three-sixteenths inch fillet weld on a base plate atop a concrete foundation element. Tekx self-drilling screws secure the metal deck to the support according to the specified screw pattern and support thickness. A minimum clearance of two feet is verified with the architect.
