An HSS6x4 separator beam connects to a concrete elevator pit wall using a half-inch embed plate secured with three-quarter-inch welded studs. A structural angle L8x6x1/2 supports the beam assembly with a quarter-inch weld specified for the HSS-to-angle connection. A three-sixteenth-inch fillet weld secures the angle to the embed plate. Dimension callouts detail plate positioning and spacing from the face of the concrete pit wall.
