An eight-inch concrete masonry unit wall is supported by a ten-inch concrete slab on grade featuring a thickened edge beam. The masonry wall contains number five vertical reinforcing bars at sixteen inches on center and number four horizontal reinforcing bars at twenty-four inches on center, topped with two number four horizontal bars. Foundation dowels consist of number five bars at sixteen inches on center with alternate hooks embedded into the thickened footing, lapped forty-eight bar diameters. A stud wall bears on top of the masonry wall, and typical slab reinforcement is detailed per plans with continuous bottom bars.
