The concrete footing step transition connects foundation wall segments of varying elevations using continuous concrete footings sized per plan and schedule. Vertical and horizontal wall reinforcement above is tied into the footing using dowels that match the sizing of the wall reinforcement. Z-bars matching the continuous footing reinforcement are placed at the step change. The maximum step height is three feet four inches unless noted otherwise, with a minimum lap length equal to two times the step height.
