A four-inch concrete ramp bears on a compacted sub-base and stone layer, transitioning with a one-half-inch notch and slope as indicated on the architectural drawings. The interface between the structural floor and ramp requires a roughened surface with an applied concrete bonding agent. Welded wire fabric reinforces the ramp slab, supplemented by number three reinforcing bars spaced at twelve inches on center each way, unless noted otherwise. Epoxied dowels are installed in drilled one-half-inch diameter by three-inch deep holes at typical locations. A one-half-inch chamfer finishes the edge transition.
