A concrete pipe trench is formed within a slab on grade with a variable slab thickness specified on the structural plans. The main slab reinforcement matches the project structural plans and includes a typical Class A lap splice of one foot zero inches. Reinforcing bars are hooked at the trench edges and profiled to match the sloped sides of the trench with a one-to-one slope. Trench bottom and side reinforcement matches the primary slab reinforcing sizes and spacing.
