A steel stair stringer is supported by a structural angle welded with a three-sixteenth-inch fillet weld on three sides. The angle is secured to a thickened slab on grade using three-quarter-inch diameter by eight-inch expansion anchor bolts at each stringer. The concrete slab features a typical two-foot thickened section located at the stair stringer base as shown on plan. The finish grade sits adjacent to the concrete slab on grade.
