An existing ledger joist running parallel to an unreinforced masonry wall is secured using drill and epoxy dowels embedded into the masonry. Threaded anchors extend through the joist assembly and are fastened with nuts and plate washers typically. Anchor locations and spacing are determined per plan, with reference to additional details for full connection requirements.
