This wall base section detail shows acoustic wall panels mounted over a layer of gypsum wallboard that is framed in front of a concrete slab. The acoustic panel is secured using construction adhesive applied per the manufacturer's recommendation. A channel base with a return key is installed at the bottom of the panel four inches above the floor level, where carpet is laid over the Level 01 concrete slab. A capture angle with a return key holds the top edge of the base assembly.
