An HSS column supports intersecting wide-flange and hollow structural section beams configured per plan with welded plate connections. Three-eighths inch top and bottom plates weld the wide-flange beam to the column, complemented by three-eighths by three by five-inch plates and three-quarter by eight by twelve-inch plates centered on both sides. Angle sections measuring five by three by one-half by seven inches weld to both sides of the HSS beams with quarter-inch fillets. Three-sixteenths inch and quarter-inch fillet welds secure the connection assembly typical on both sides.
