A structural steel column connects to a reinforced concrete pile cap via a base plate and anchor bolts sized per plan. Inclined Dywidag bars are anchored with a 165x165x50 millimeter plate at each end in lieu of a standard bottom plate to avoid conflict with the base plate. Pile dowels are bent to maintain clearance from the base plate anchorage. The steel pipe pile detail requires a minimum concrete cover of 75 millimeters.
