A steel beam connects to the web of a supporting steel column using a welded shear tab bolted to the beam web. The connection utilizes bolts in configured rows sized per the structural schedule, with the shear tab welded to the column flange. Continuity plates are aligned with the beam flanges on both sides of the column web. Clearances and dimensions conform to AISC specifications including the k1 distance.
