Concrete slab and steel decking run parallel to structural steel beams with a two-inch minimum bearing condition at edge beams and three-inch minimum bearing where applicable. Welded studs are placed as required along the beams with a continuous number three bar wired to the studs to support welded wire fabric or reinforcing. Additional number three bars at six-foot-zero-inches on center are added at W24 and deeper beams. The assembly maintains a one-inch clearance to welded wire fabric and a three-quarter-inch clearance to rebar. A typical edge form with a one-half-inch return is provided at the perimeter slab edge.
