This connection features two hollow structural section braces joined to a wide flange column via a one-inch thick gusset plate. Each brace is secured to the gusset plate using six 3/4-inch diameter A325N bolts. The gusset plate is welded to the column flange with 1/4-inch fillet welds, with specific weld lengths noted as 6 inches, 8 inches, 20 inches, and 40 inches. A horizontal beam connection is also present, referencing detail 7/S-43004 for the specific angle size and end beam configuration. A minimum 1/2-inch clearance is maintained between the brace ends and the gusset plate edge.
