A continuous number five reinforcing bar runs horizontally within the wall. A four-by-six number two Douglas Fir timber member connects into a Simpson framing hanger spaced at four feet on center. An L2 1/2x2x1/4 angle connects each leg with two seven-eighths-inch diameter through bolts, secured with straps and pins per nailing notes.
