Cold-formed steel wall studs are braced laterally using a continuous bridging member passing through each stud. A 1 1/2-inch by 1 1/2-inch by 54-mil clip angle, sized to match the stud depth minus 1/2 inch, connects the continuous bridging to each wall stud. Two number-12 screws fasten the bridging to the clip angle, and two additional number-12 screws secure the clip angle to the stud web typically at each stud location.
