Cold-formed steel studs are braced horizontally by a continuous cold-rolled channel running through punched webs. A clip angle measuring 1 1/2 inches by 1 1/2 inches by 54-mil is attached to each stud and to the channel with two number 10 screws per member. The clip angle length is cut to the stud width less 1/2 inch. Finish material and framing lines indicate the wall envelope context.
