A steel stair stringer bears onto a thickened concrete slab on grade with a 2-foot-wide thickened zone extending 12 inches typically. The stringer consists of an L3x3x1/4 angle connected with three-quarter-inch diameter by 8-inch-long expansion anchor bolts at each stringer typically. A 3/16-inch fillet weld is specified on three sides of the stringer connection as shown. The concrete slab on grade is thickened per plan at the stringer location.
