An HSS column connects to a horizontal HSS beam framing member utilizing a one-quarter inch cap plate at the top of the column where applicable. Five-sixteenth inch fillet welds secure the beam-to-column intersection. A wide-flange beam frames above on an HSS 3x3x1/4 support assembly. Allowable point loads reach eight kips at the chiller crane and two kips at the pump crane for typical spans.
