A horizontal construction pour joint within a concrete wall assembly features a roughened and cleaned surface to ensure bond between concrete placements. Vertical reinforcement continuous through the joint is accompanied by horizontal reinforcement occurring as specified. A minimum three-eighths inch clearance is maintained at horizontal reinforcement, and a one-and-one-half-inch offset or dimension marks the joint transition. Cleanouts are provided at the vertical reinforcement whenever the concrete pour height exceeds five feet.
