A steel beam connects to a supporting structural edge beam via a welded shear tab plate and two three-quarter-inch diameter bolts. The connection utilizes a three-eighths by three-and-one-half by zero-foot five-and-one-half-inch plate welded to the edge beam with quarter-inch fillet welds on both sides. The supported beam, sized per plan, is secured to the shear tab with two three-quarter-inch bolts spaced at three inches on center with one-and-one-half-inch edge distances.
