An HSS hanger column connects to the underside of a structural steel HSS beam. The centerline of the hanger column aligns with the centerline of the wide flange and the HSS beam per the reference plan. A one-quarter inch fillet weld secures the HSS hanger column to the lower wall of the HSS beam.
