A wide-flange beam connects to a wide-flange column using a bolted shear tab welded to the column web with a three-sided three-eighths-inch fillet weld. A one-and-a-half-inch plate rests on the top flange of the beam and is welded to the column with a half-inch fillet weld. A five-eighths-inch full depth plate reinforces the column web opposite the beam connection. Additional full depth plate, weld, and bolt requirements are referenced to sheets 23/S6.1 and 18/S6.1.
