The slab on grade rests on a subgrade detailed per plan. An optional control joint features a roughened interface with a one-quarter inch amplitude. Continuous number four top and bottom reinforcing bars run through the assembly alongside number three reinforcing bars at eighteen inches on center with standard hooks. Dimensions vary and spacing is six inches unadjusted with an eight inch maximum.
