Metal deck openings from thirteen to twenty-four inches maximum are framed with hollow structural sections on each side and reinforced along the deck flutes. The hollow structural sections extend a minimum of three flutes past each end of the opening. Reinforcing elements attach directly to the metal deck flutes.
