Horizontal bridging is installed between steel joists per the joist manufacturer specifications underneath a metal deck with variable span direction. The connection to the supporting steel beam utilizes a three-sixteenths inch weld with specific dimensional clearances. Steel joists are held at a minimum distance from the beam flange with welded elements.
