Concrete stub walls align with the deck flutes and feature expanded polystyrene foam filler between them. Reinforcing includes number four bars at twelve inches typical and ninety-degree hooks turned in the deck flute as required. The cold joint is roughened to a quarter-inch amplitude typical, and an alternate detail incorporates epoxy with Hilti HIT-RE 500 V3 into drilled holes with embed "X".
