A wide-flange beam connects to a wide-flange column flange or deep column web using a connection plate of thickness t. The connection plate is welded to the beam with a specified weld size per schedule, and secured with bolts aligned on a centerline established per schedule. Clearances include a one-half-inch maximum typical gap and a one-and-one-half-inch minimum typical dimension from the centerline of bolts.
