A W21 beam intersects a W21 vertical member and is tied into a heavy W21 brace using a 3/4-inch thick Grade 50 steel gusset plate. The connection utilizes two rows of 1-1/8-inch diameter A490 high-strength bolts at the top and bottom flanges of the beam and brace members. Clearances and edge distances are detailed with standard spacing dimensions.
