Adjacent concrete tilt-up wall panels are joined at the vertical joint using embedded steel angles and a bridging plate. The connection incorporates L6x6x3/8 by one-foot embed angles secured with two 3/4-inch diameter by 6-inch heavy stud anchors located at panel third points with a maximum 12-foot spacing. Two number 5 weldable dowels tie each panel into the connection zone, while an 8-inch by 8-inch by 3/8-inch plate bridges the joint with a 5/16-inch fillet weld typically. A maximum 3/4-inch architectural reveal is maintained at the joint, and the entire assembly is optional for panel erection only unless noted otherwise on panel elevations.
